Died of complications from Alzheimer's. She was born to Thomas Maxwell and Myrtle (Mackler) Ellis and raised in Hemingford and Scottsbluff, NE. She graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University where she was a member of the Delta Zeta sorority. After college she moved briefly to Denver and then to Phoenix, where she lived for 55 years.
She is survived by her daughter, HollyAnn Harris and son-in-law, Richard Renn of Omaha. Private Service with Interment in Hemingford, NE.
Memorials can be directed to Saint Mary's Food Bank (Phoenix), St. Stephens Episcopal Church (Phoenix) or to a humane society or animal rescue organization of your choice.
