Beverly Ann Deen

August 23, 1941 — February 9, 2026

Beverly Ann Deen (née Alford), age 84, passed away peacefully at 10:47 a.m. on February 9, 2026, in Omaha, Nebraska. Arriving in heaven to join her husband Roy and son Tad at 10:47 a.m.

Beverly was born on August 23, 1941, in Boyd County, Nebraska, Beverly lived a life marked by compassion, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to her faith and community.

Beverly began her professional journey as a beautician but found her true calling in the medical field. She dedicated over four decades of service to Methodist Physicians Clinic and the Methodist Health System. Throughout her career, she worked in numerous departments and ultimately took on the responsibility of overseeing all purchasing operations before retiring. Her work ethic and attention to detail left a lasting impact on those she worked with.

Family was at the heart of Beverly's life. Her son Joseph and his wife Noemi were central figures in her world, offering love and companionship throughout the years. Her grandson Thomas held a special place in her heart-he meant the world to her. Beverly also shared a close bond with her brother Douglas Alford of Nebraska.

She was preceded in death by her beloved son Thomas "Tad" Deen in 1984; her husband Roy Joseph Deen in 2017, her parents William Thomas Alford and Vera Ella Higgins Alford; and her brothers William Alford and Lorell Alford.

Beverly's life was enriched by a deep spiritual devotion. She read the Bible daily and was an active member of her church community, attending services and participating regularly in Bible study. Her faith guided every aspect of her life and inspired those around her.

A woman of many talents and interests, Beverly found joy in crafting-especially Diamond Dotting, scrapbooking, card-making-and eagerly lent her skills to church projects and volunteer efforts. She had a passion for travel, particularly exploring the beauty of Nebraska.

One of Beverly's guiding principles was never to pass another person without making them a friend. Her heart overflowed with kindness and love, which she generously shared with everyone she met-whether at restaurants, on road trips, at events, through church activities, or during her long tenure at work. Her circle of friends was vast and diverse; to many she was more than just a friend-she was like a sister, mother, or grandmother.

Beverly Ann Deen will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May her memory bring comfort to those who loved her and continue to inspire acts of kindness in the world she leaves behind.

Services will be announced at a later date.

Bev said she loved verse:

God's Garden

God looked around his garden And found an empty space,

He then looked down upon the earth

And saw your tired face.

He put his arms around you

And lifted you to rest.

God's garden must be beautiful

He always takes the best.

He saw the road was getting rough

And the hills were hard to climb.

God knew you were in pain.

So he closed your weary eyelids

And whispered, 'Come to Me'.

With tearful eyes we watched you

And saw you slip away,

Though loved you dearly we know

You could not stay.

It broke our hearts to lose you

But you did not go alone,

For part of us went with you

The day God called you home.
