Christine K. Kephart Sales Toombs

Christine Kay (Kephart) Toombs, age 67 passed away peacefully in Council Bluffs IA on June 15th, 2024 surrounded by her family. Chris was born on March 17th, 1957 in Omaha, NE to the late Glen and Shirley (Thomlinson) Kephart. She grew up in Council Bluffs IA and spent her last few years in Missouri Valley, IA. Chris enjoyed sitting by the fire, lounging in a pool, dancing to music, and spending time with her family. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with animals, any and all. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Shirley (Thomlinson) Kephart, brothers; Michael Kephart and Lonnie Kephart. Sister Diana (Kephart) Winchel. 

She is survived by her two daughters, Sally (Lafe) Thomas, of Council Bluffs, IA and Cori Sales, of Missouri Valley, IA. Father of her children and good friend, Kenny Sales, of Council Bluffs, IA. Sisters Glenda Kephart, of Council Bluffs, IA and Kathy (Randy) Messersmith of Pryor, Oklahoma. Brother David (Rhonda) Kephart of Council Bluffs, IA. Grandchildren McCauley Hogan, Savannah Sales, Jacob Axtell, Madisyn Ollie, and LaVelle Miller. Great-grandson Dalton Dukes Jr.. 

Chris will be cremated at Chapel of Memories. Celebration of life to follow at a later date. She will be missed and loved by all.
