Derrick Scott Coffey

Derrick Scott Coffey was born January 24, 1994, to Scott Coffey and Cindy Gronewold Coffey. He passed from this life October 4th, 2026. Derrick knew no strangers, and could connect and converse deeply with anyone. He lived a charmer's life to the fullest, always seeking the next thrill. He loved to sing, and spent many nights belting his heart out. Derrick was also an avid fisherman, and found his peace among the breeze and gentle waves with a fish on his line.

Derrick is preceded in death by his grandfather Roger Gronewold, grandmothers Delores Hurt and Grace Jansen, and his uncles Kirk Coffey, Gary Wiemers, David Wiemers, and Bobby Wiemers.

He is survived by grandmothers Judy Coffey and Charlotte Gronewold, many aunts and uncles, mother Cindy Gronewold Coffey (Rick), father Scott Coffey, and sister Jasmine Coffey Caban (Eli). His legacy lives on in daughters Stella and Ariana.

Derrick's life will be celebrated Saturday, October 10th, at 2:00 PM, at Carter Lake Park (playground side) with fishing, food, and good times. All are welcome to join.
