Don Paul Anspach

Don Paul Anspach, 69, passed away on February 25, 2026, in Omaha, Nebraska. Born on October 11, 1956, in Clinton, Iowa, Don lived a life marked by dedication to his family and work.

Don proudly served in the United States Navy until his honorable discharge on September 17, 1975. Following his military service, he embarked on a long and fulfilling career with the United States Postal Service, where he worked for 33 years before retiring.

Don found immense joy in life's simple pleasures. He loved fishing and camping, spending countless hours outdoors surrounded by nature. Evenings around the fire pit were particularly special to him-a time for sharing stories and creating lasting memories and treasured every moment spent with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Annette Anspach of Fonda, Iowa; his children from previous marriage: Dawn Anspach of Huntington Beach, California; Valerie Anspach (Josh Pyle) of Schaller, Iowa, (son Holden); Rebecca Bein (Justin) of Walcott, Iowa, (son Henry); Jacalyn Smith (Steven) of Le Mars, Iowa, (daughters Nova and Luna). He is also survived by his stepchildren: Tara Gonzalez (daughter Amelia); and Cavell Kuchenreuther.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Rosemary Anspach.

In accordance with Don's wishes, cremation has taken place with no memorial service to follow. Condolences may be sent to Annette Anspach at 412 E 2nd Street, Fonda, Iowa 50540.

Don's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
