Eryn Nichole Hamke, 42, of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away peacefully at her home on March 28, 2026. Born on January 15, 1984, in Omaha, Eryn brought light and joy to everyone who knew her.
Eryn graduated from Blair High School and went on to earn her cosmetology license from Bahner College of Hairstyling. She was a dedicated and hardworking individual, serving as a produce manager for Natural Grocers at the time of her passing. Eryn had a passion for life and cherished spending time with her numerous, amazing friends and close-knit family.
Eryn had a deep love for her dog, Wally, whom she adored as though he were her child. She found joy in cooking and had a flair for all things beautiful-whether it was makeup, shoes, perfume, or her beloved collection of purses.
Eryn is survived by her loving mother, Vicki (Reis) Broussard, and her stepfather, Michael Broussard. She is also survived by her step-siblings Britni Broussard, Michael Broussard, Jasmyn Broussard, and Aleesha Broussard; her grandparents Janet Reis, and Opal and Patrice Broussard; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Phillip Richard Hamke; her uncle, Joe Hamke; her grandfather, John Reis; and her grandparents, Bill and Lola Hamke.
A celebration of Eryn's life will be held on Friday, April 10th, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, located at 115 W. Meigs Street in Valley, Nebraska. In honor of Eryn's vibrant spirit, the family requests that attendees wear bright colors. Flowers may be sent directly to St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
Memorial contributions can be made to Breakthrough T1D (formerly the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) in honor of Eryn's family members touched by this disease.
Eryn will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. May she rest in peace.
