Hadsell, Glen Coral, Jr.

January 1, 1942 - May 3, 2019

Glen was born in Belleville, IL, to Glen C. and Bettynell Hadsell, Sr., where his father was a radar instructor at Scott Field. The family then moved to Boca Raton during WWII where Glen Sr. taught at the radar school and Glen watched the planes overhead. In 1949, they moved back to Nebraska. Glen was educated at Dundee School, Central High, Eastman School of Music, UNL and the San Fernando Valley School of Law. He was a violinist and music educator whose many experiences included being selected as a student with Jascha Heifetz.

Glen is survived by his sisters, Alice Hadsell Wallis, Glendale, CA, Cynthia and Carolyn, Omaha, as well as his nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also the adoptive grandfather of the Maudhoo family, especially Nadia.

He requested no formal service and encouraged all to attend music performances. Special thanks for the recent care provided by the wonderful staff at Hickory Villa Assisted Living and by Hillcrest Home Care and Hospice Care. He also had excellent care from Dr. Charles Stoner and at the UNMC Center for Successful Aging with Dr. Joseph Hejkal and Dr. Natalie Manley.

Memorials suggested to Omaha Central High School Foundation and Omaha Area Youth Orchestra where he served as its first concert master in 1959.
