OCTOBER 30, 1939 - DECEMBER 31, 2022

Henry Joseph Bartsch, Jr. passed away peacefully at the age of 83 on December 31, 2022 in Omaha, NE. He was born October 30, 1939 in Evanston, IL to Henry Sr. and Ann Zinkus Bartsch, who preceded him in death. Henry is survived by his sister, Carol Bartsch (Tony) Breci of Omaha. He has 2 nieces and 2 nephews from Carol & Tony's family, Pam Breci of Omaha, Scott Breci of Las Vegas, Paul (Joni) Breci of Las Vegas and Susan (Bob) Welsh of Omaha.

Henry moved to Omaha with his mom and sister after his dad had passed away at the early age of 48, when Henry was a freshman in high school.

Henry married Charlotte Buckmaster (Dixon) at a young age of 21 and had 5 children, Richard (Kelly) Bartsch, Kathleen Bartsch, Linda (Paul) Staehlin, Lorie Bartsch, Crissy Bartsch.

Henry spent all his work years as a drywall finisher, working for Omaha companies like Thompkins Drywall and E&K Drywall, before starting his own drywall business with his long-time friend, Roger Grell.

Henry moved to Phoenix AZ where he spent 44 years before moving back to Omaha to spend his last months with family before passing.

Henry loved coaching and being involved in the kids' sports, enjoyed bowling (Western Bowl), softball, and watching sports, Chicago Bears, Chicago Cubs, and Cornhuskers.

In addition to being survived by his former wife, sister, and 5 children, Henry has 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and longtime partner Marcella Foster of Phoenix, AZ.

Henry's favorite saying was "BUT THAT'S ANOTHER STORY"

A Celebration of Life will be held on January 22 between 1-3pm at the Millard American Legion, 13913 S Plaza, Omaha, NE.
