John Lacy

John William Lacy, of Marysville, Kansas, passed away peacefully on December 27th, 2025, at CHI Health Immanuel of Omaha, NE, at the age of 67.

He was born July 7th, 1958, in Great Bend, Kansas, to Harold Ray and Lorna Dale (Nash) Lacy.

John met the love of his life, Deborah, and the two were married June 1st, 1976. In their younger years, John and Deb enjoyed many adventures, including off-roading in their motorcycles and dune buggy.

John's professional life included years of working alongside his father as a construction worker. He later moved to Broken Arrow, OK, with his wife and kids, where he pursued a passion in aviation. Starting out as an apprentice mechanic, he progressed quickly to lead mechanic and later was promoted to Customer Service Manager.

John was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. He lived for his family, but his proudest role was grandpa. He was an avid fisherman and talented woodworker who enjoyed tinkering in the garage or spending the day chasing fish. He is remembered for his unwavering positivity, resilient nature, and lighthearted sense of humor.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Deborah; son, John W. Lacy II, and his wife, Laura, of Broken Arrow, OK; daughter, Kristal Lacy, and her significant other, Jared Hurt, of Bixby, OK; three grandchildren, Grant Lacy, Campbell Lacy, and Lily Hurt; sister, Margaret Ensign, and her husband, David, of Lexington Park, Maryland; brother, Loren Lacy, and Sheryl Fincham, of Topeka, Kansas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Lorna Lacy; brother, Harold Lacy Jr.; sister, Terry Robl; and sister, Loretta Mischler.
