Johnny Dean Morton

Sep 30, 1955 — May 10, 2026

Johnny Dean Morton, 70, of Tarkio, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2026.

Born on September 30, 1955, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, to Norman and Pauline Morton, Johnny spent his early years growing up in the Midwest. He graduated from Rock Port High School in Rock Port, Missouri, before going on to proudly serve his country in the United States Navy.

If there was a soundtrack to Johnny's life, it was heavily influenced by the blues and old rock and roll. He was never far from a guitar, and his love for music was matched only by his loyalty to the Las Vegas Raiders and his admiration for early '70s Ford Broncos. He will be remembered for his great taste, his undeniable spirit, and the joy he found in the things he loved most.

Johnny leaves behind a lasting legacy in his family. He is survived by his sons, Randy (Trisha) and Nathan (Jamie); his grandchildren, Hailey, Connor, Andrew, Marissa, Gavin, Remus, and Cora; his great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Tony, Kairo, Delilah, Junior, and Gia; his sisters, Sandie (Mike) Jones and Debra Morton; and his brother, Donald (Kassi) Morton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Pauline Morton.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation will take place, and his ashes will be spread at Devil's Tower in Wyoming-a truly fitting and memorable resting place for a man with his spirit.
