Julia Silknitter

Julie Silknitter, age 78, of Omaha, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at her residence. She was born February 21, 1947, in Omaha, Nebraska, a daughter of the late Frank and Agneta Jensen.

Julie is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Bill, with whom she shared over 50 wonderful years of marriage. She is survived by her loving children and their spouses, Amy and Matt Gamble, and Will and Tina Silknitter. The joy of her life came from her grandchildren: Jessica and Cody Starkey, Tre and Brianna Silknitter, Tom Silknitter and Anna Dimari, and Tanner Gamble, who will carry on her legacy of love and laughter. Her siblings also cherish Julie: Joe and Joan Jensen, Pat Ehrlich, Mary and Tom Morrissey, and Mark and Holly Jensen. She is preceded in death by her brother, Jim Jensen, who will forever hold a place in their hearts.

A celebration of Julie's remarkable life will be held on January 25, 2026, from 11 am to 2 pm at the American Legion Post 216, located at 11690 South 216th Street, Gretna, NE 68028.
