Julian Lee Dill

Julian Lee Dill, 74, of Gretna, Nebraska, set out on his final voyage on May 30, 2026.
Though we don't have a picture of him to share today, this image of his boat captures the essence of who he was.

Whether he was fishing at dawn, teaching his kids and grandkids to fish, or just enjoying the outdoors, the water was his true place to relax and enjoy. He was a painting contractor by trade for 40 years and any free time he had he loved to scuba dive, create artwork, eat squirty cheese and saltines along with watching bad/horror movies.

Born on March 7, 1952 in Alliance, Nebraska, Julian was a man who navigated life with patience, strength, and a great sense of humor.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 53 years, Maureen; his children Nicholas (Christy) and Aaron (Holly); grandchildren Riley, Mason, Ethan, Julian "JJ", and Aiden; sister Sandy (Chuck) Heid; niece Melodie Garr; nephew Christopher Heid; and other family and friends.
