Kathy Jane Logsdon

Kathy Jane Logsdon, age 74, Papillion, Nebraska passed away peacefully on April 18th, 2025.

Kathy was born on August 13, 1950, in Burlington, Iowa to James Hall and Kathlyn (Odle) Hall. She married Rick Logsdon in Columbus Junction, Iowa, in 1972 The couple moved from Marshalltown, IA to Omaha, Nebraska in 1984.

Throughout her life, Kathy was passionate about her family, her faith, and caring for others. She worked as a court reporter for many years and believed very strongly that we must care for others, especially children. In her free time, she was an avid reader who enjoyed testing her wit against her kids and grandkids, friends, and evening games of Jeopardy. She enjoyed spending time with her husband Rick, family, friends, and neighbors. Her home was welcome and her baked goods were delicious.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Rick, her children Scott (Charlene) Logsdon, Trish (Steve) Brilhart, and grandsons Cameron (Julia), Benjamin, Jacob, and great grandson Cameron-Arttis, and her sister Rubie Kay Czwerwinski. She was preceded in death by her brothers Dennis Leroy “Butch” Hall, James Lynn “Pete“ Hall, and Gary Lee Hall.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30PM on Sunday May 4th, 2025 at FaithWestwood United Methodist Church, with visitation beginning at 1:00PM.

 In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Omaha Open Door Mission and the Food Bank for the Heartland.
