Lori Lane Bobier

Lori Lane Bobier (Stepanek) 61 years, of Omaha passed away in her home on January 30, 2026. She was a woman whose heart was bigger than the challenges she faced, and whose love left an imprint on everyone who truly knew her.

A mother, a dedicated friend, she loved deeply. She loved her children Delanne Porter, Dani Porter (Nick), Jacob Porter, and Kyle Porter, her fiancé Casey Childers, his daughter Samantha Kolm, and Samantha's daughter Savannah Kolm, her pup Bella, and her kitty Maddie. Most of all, she adored her grandchildren, Mackenzie (Will), Trevor, Koryn (Joseph), James, Domenik, Madison, and Kaisen, who knew her as Nana. She always said she wasn't old enough to be called Grandma - and she was right. Nana fit her perfectly: full of life, a bit rambunctious, and a whole lot of sass. She came by it naturally - we all do.

When I think of my mom, I remember her vanilla-noted perfume, her red lipstick, and her vibrant spirit. She had a way of making people feel seen, even strangers. She welcomed others without judgment and offered kindness freely.

She showed up for her friends - especially her closest friends, Donna, Jackie, Julie, Lori, and Mary, and many others - who were family to her in every sense of the word. She cared deeply. No matter what she was carrying inside, she almost always wore a smile - a genuine one that reflected her warm heart.

Lori was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Bobier; her parents, Patsy Burns and Dale Stepanek; her sister, Kimberly Williams; and her brothers-in-law, John Martinez and Ralph Phillips. She is survived by her sisters, Justine Martinez and Lisa Stepanek, along with her children, grandchildren, and the many family members and friends who loved her deeply.

Today, while our hearts ache, we hold onto the gift of who she was and the love she gave so freely. Her journey here may be complete, but her spirit, her lessons, and her love will live on in all of us.

Rest easy, Momma. You are so loved. You will always be deeply missed.
