Richard Rabb

Richard Carleton Rabb entered into eternal rest on June 14, 2025.

Richard was born in Des Moines Iowa October 26, 1946. He was welcomed by his parents, Carleton Alexander Rabb and Jo Ann Robinson Rabb.

His parents relocated Rich and his older brother John to Wheaton, IL where Rich graduated from high school. He then attended the University of Illinois. Richard’s career focused on retail management first as a store owner, then working for chain stores nationwide. Later in his career he was an independent consultant to retail owners for promotions and store closing sales.

Richard and Jacque Thorland were married in 1968. Their two children are Carla Rabb Bukalski (Mark) Oak Park, Illinois and Daniel Rabb San Jose, California. He has two grandchildren Jackie Bukalski and Azalea Bukalski Oak Park, Illinois.

When Richard was widowed in 2000, he then married Susan Salistean Livingston. He opened his heart to her two children Michael (Jessica) Livingston Ann Arbor, Michigan and Kristina Livingston Allen Omaha, Nebraska. He has four grandchildren Mason Allen, and Logan Allen, Omaha, Nebraska, George Livingston and Maxwell Livingston, Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Richard is survived by his wife Susan, older brother John, all the children and grandchildren who will miss him forever. Richard is also survived by his sisters-in-law Vicky Thorland and Cynthia Thorland (Fritz) , brother in law John Salistean (Kim). Many nieces and nephews that have been a source of joy over the years.

Richard could do any home improvement project needed, was always cooking for the family, and loved his dogs and all the birds that would visit his feeders.
