He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, telling stories, laughing, and joking around. You could always find him in the garage with a cigarette in his mouth and a beer in his hand. He had a saying before everyone left. He'd say, "one more and we all go." He always made friends quickly and easily with his one-of-a-kind personality. Rick would always keep a supply of ice cream and dog treats for the neighbor kids and dogs that would come over regularly to hang out.

Rick loved his pets Me'a and zo'e, following Husker Football, hunting in his younger days, you could find him every morning sitting in his underwear playing solitaire on the computer, watching reruns of two and a half men with his animals zo'e and Me'a along with his favorite son Aaron.
