Obituary

Roger Sievert passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on March 29.

Roger lived a life centered on faith, family, and the things he loved most. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Roger shared 62 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Sharen.

Roger worked for more than 30 years as an accountant with Union Pacific Railroad, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic.

He had a lifelong love of golf and enjoyed spending time on the course. At one time, he owned a golf shop, combining his passion for the game with serving others who shared his enthusiasm for golf.

Roger was born to Alice Peterson and Raymond Sievert and was lovingly raised by Fred and Bessie Nassin.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sharen; his son, Reade Sievert and wife Debbie; his grandchildren, Austin and wife Jessica, Morgan, and Alec; and his sister, Sue Pohl, and brother-in-law, Jack.

Roger will be remembered for his strong faith, his love for his family, and the many memories he created with those who knew and loved him.

The family will be holding a private memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Nebraska Humane Society.
