Tammie M. Sonterre

March 22, 1965 — December 17, 2023

Tammie M. Sonterre passed away December 17, 2023 in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 58 years old. She was born March 22, 1965 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

It would be wrong to say that Tammie lost her battle to metastatic breast cancer because she never stopped fighting. No matter how sick she was, she was always determined. When anyone else would have been broken, Tammie stayed strong. Through her we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like. There was no quit for Tammie.

Tammie was a devoted and loving caretaker to her family, starting at a young age with her siblings, then her children, and many of her grandchildren. She took that love and devotion to the field when she became a nurse, ensuring that all of her patients felt loved, wanted and needed. Tammie strived to make sure everyone was taken care of before her own needs or wants. More than providing others with what they needed, She loved them with everything she had inside of her.

Tammie created many friendships throughout her life that meant the world to her and the family.

Tammie is preceded in death by her mother, Linda Caudill; brothers Harold Caudill and Robert Caudill; and daughter Jessica Caudill.

She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Larry Sonterre; children Joshua (Rebecca; Michael) Caudill, Cricket (Roberto; Mio-Miguel, Arianna, Gavin, & Micah) Miranda, Jacob Caudill (Gage, Gunner, Savanah, Collin & Maycee), Christopher Caudill, Trenton Caudill, and Aarya Caudill; Jessica's children Samuel and Alexia Flores; sister Robin Gyorkos; brother Justin Caudill; nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends.
