Timothy Verl Winner, 60 of Slayton MN, died on May 27th at Methodist Hospital in Omaha Nebraska after a short but courageous two-month battle with Glioblastoma. Tim was born on April 11, 1965 in Council Bluffs lowa to Ronald and Lois (Jackson) Winner.
He graduated in 1984 with honors from Wentworth Military Academy, Lexington Missouri. Tim worked in the parts business for Southside auto/ Auto value. Then changed his career with B&S Salvage. Tim ended his career as a heavy equipment mechanic with Alter Scrap Metal. Tim was an avid Outdoorsman from hunting pheasants to turkeys, from fly fishing to noodling. He had a passion for restoring vintage tractors and showing them during Carstens farm days. He was an avid Allis Chalmers collector.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years Kim Winner, daughter Cassandra Winner and his little old pal Ollie. Brother Mark Winner (Barbara) children Thomas, Makayla, great niece, great nephew. Sister In-Law Linda Jabens Grimm (Larry) children Lee, Joel, Hannah (Joe) Bryan, great nephew. And a host of other family, friends and neighbors.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by In-laws Clarence and Jere Ann Shinn, Richard Jabens.
Visitation Saturday June 20th 10:00 to 11:00 with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 at St. Paul's Luthern Church 22163 Sumac Road Neola, lowa 51559.
A luncheon will immediately follow in the Church social hall.
