Wesley Rase

Wesley James Rase passed away May 16, 2025 in Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 92 years. He was born March 17, 1933 in Scribner, Nebraska.

Wesley is preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Viola Rase; first wife MaryAnn Rase; late wife Mary Jo Rase; and daughter Cindy Pignotti.

Wesley is survived by his children Annette (Mark) Duff and Paul (Ana) Rase; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sister Mianna Thornton; and nieces, nephews, and other family.

Wes was very generous with both his time and money. He always looked for ways to help others and never much cared if he received credit for doing so. His entire life was marked by curiosity. In his younger years he caused his parents quite a bit of stress by taking things apart to see how they worked, though he usually managed to put them back together in working order. Wes enjoyed solving problems and had a talent for fixing things. He somehow always had the right tools and parts to do the job. Wes spent his entire career working as an engineer for IBM in Omaha. He owned the entire collection of Star Trek movies and series in every format available and he was always happy to share them. Wes was dearly loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
