Maryann Mitchell

MaryAnn Mitchell, 76, of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away on December 21st, 2020. She was born to parents Frank Bauer and Anna Bauer, on April 4th, 1944 in Ravenna, Nebraska.
Mary Ann graduated from Ravenna High School in 1962. She participated in pep club and chorus and was known to chew/pop her gum while in class. In her senior year book she was noted for "Some chew for pleasure, but I chew for mileage". She went on to graduate in 1963 with a Secretarial diploma from Lincoln School of Commerce. She excelled in speed typing and shorthand. Mary Ann worked as a Secretary, and, during the last 25 years of employment, she worked at the Nebraska State Department of Education in the FHA, later Family and Consumer Science, department where she retired in 2006.
She wonderfully raised 3 children: Mark Mitchell, Stephanie Mitchell, and Steven Mitchell. Mary Ann was so proud of her children and loved spending time with them and her grandchildren. She enjoyed time with friends, country music, dancing, playing cards, going to movies and chocolate.
Mary Ann is survived by Mark (Susie) Mitchell, Son, Stephanie Mitchell, Daughter, Steven (Emily) Mitchell, Son, 4 Grandsons and 2 Granddaughters. She was preceded in death by Frank Bauer, Father, Anna Bauer, Mother, George Bauer, Brother.
