Michael Mcdonald

Michael McDonald, age 73, passed away peacefully at home on August 13, 2021. He was born December 26, 1947 to Mick and Rosemary (Stinn) McDonald in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Mike spent the majority of his life living in Neola, Iowa. Mike enjoyed travelling with the love of his life, Rosemary, and was passionate about his family. He loved spending time with his brothers telling stories that grew bigger by the year and hanging out camping and canoeing with his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his sister, Theresa Rice and his brother Patrick McDonald.
Mike is survived by his wife of 52 years, who Mike stated laughingly was a "good pick", Rosemary McDonald; his children- Kelly McDonald, Keary Christensen, Chris McDonald and Bridget McDonald (there has been many discussions as who the favorite has been) "surprise he loved you all the same". Grandchildren - Phillip, Jessica, Kelsey, Jimmie, Benjamin, Brandon, Karrin, Jordan, Jadynn and Brayden and 6 great grandchildren; Brothers -Dennis, Tom, Dave and Bill McDonald.
A private memorial with family will be held at a later date where we will celebrate Mike's life by having a cold beer and telling stories of how he loved to dance, how he never met a stranger that didn't become a friend and retell his stories that will get just a bit bigger. He would love everyone to raise a cold beer and celebrate his life in his honor.
